I’ve always loved travelling; I’ve been travelling all around the world and there are so many places that I want to visit in the future.

Now I want to share this passion with you and I also want to suggest you the best places (from my point of view and based on my experience) to get modern and vintage watches in the cities I’ll write about.

I think this is the best way to combine my passions: wristwatches and Travels !!

I want to start with the most beautiful and special city in the world (from my point of view, of course): my hometown, GENOVA.

Many Internet web sites say that Genova is one of the most surprising cities in Italy, that it’s a city rich in art and has one of the most important seaports in Europe and it offers its visitors incredible attractions and a stunning artistic heritage.

This is true.. But I live here and I can assure you that Genova is much more than this..

Genova has a special beauty which is difficult to describe.. It’s true that a complete scrub-down and restoration of its once seedy waterfront, combined with an influx of young, well-funded entrepreneurs, has made Genova a modern city bustling with cosmopolitan wine bars and restaurants. But in its soul, Genova is a “vintage and historical” corner of paradise that has very old traditions and historical places which represent the heart of the city.

Genova is a city where old people speak strict dialect and young people perfectly understand; it’s a city with the biggest old town part in Europe and this zone is not special because of the tourists but because people live there, we go there to have dinner or lunch, we like to have a walk and admire the peculiar narrow streets which make us proud to be “Genovesi”.

We have beaches and mountains, we have extraordinary food products , we have quick lunch breaks watching the sea, we have small and cute bars where we can drink a “birretta” (a beer) with our friends, we have two famous football teams (Sampdoria and Genoa) with a huge (but sane) rivalry and, most of all, we have respect and love for our city!!

If you come to Italy, you definitely have to spend a couple of days here.. I’m sure you will adore Genova!
